BEGINNING APRIL 5, 2013 - THERE WILL BE A 10% BUYER'S PREMIUM CHARGED ON ALL TACK AND
EQUIPMENT PURCHASES SOLD FOR $500 OR LESS.... There is no buyer's premium added to horses,
trucks, trailers or items sold for $501.00 or more
(based on selling price):
Trucks, Trailers, Machinery, Carts, Buggies & Hay: 10%
(No Sale fee on saddles: $5.00 per saddle)
Horses: 10% on the 1st $2,000 and 8% on any amount over $2,000
(Commission is based on the total amount of all horses sold by one consignor)
$25.00 Minimum commission
No Sale fee on horses: $10.00
Yardage fee charged per horse: $10.00 - charged on each animal whether or not they sell.
Coggins drawn day of sale: $23.00
(charged to buyer)
Cash, debit card or Visa, Mastercard and Discover are accepted for payment on all purchases
Maryland Sales Tax of 6% is added to all purchases unless the buyer has a tax exempt number
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. TERMS OF SALE: All payments must be made in full to RSD Horse Auctions, LLC. Cash, debit or credit
card. Checks may be accepted if you have a bank letter of guaranteed payment. A $25 fee will be charged on
all returned checks. Appropriate legal services will be obtained to secure the performance of any check
given and no exceptions will be made.
An additional 3% buyer's premium is added to the purchase price if using a credit card. This 3% buyer's
premium is discounted if paid by cash, debit card or check.
In the event that the horse purchased is returned, purchaser will receive a refund.
2. SOUNDNESS AGREEMENT: Consignor has the responsibility to inform the sale company of any known
unsoundness, including but not limited to: cribbers, windsuckers, stall weavers, and cyrptorchids. Mental
attitudes and fears that a horse may have are not included in this agreement. There is no guarantee on
horses sold AS IS or any horse selling for six hundred ($600) dollars or less. Horses sold SOUND may
be subject to a veterinary examination at the purchaser's expense. The exam will include all physical
defects so stated by the consignor an will be limited to the horse's current condition. THE FAILURE OF
FLEXION TESTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A REASON TO RETURN HORSE, UNLESS IT LEADS TO
THE FINDING OF UNDECLARED CHIPS OR FRACTURES. X-RAYS WILL BE NECESSARY. The results
must be completed and reported to RSD Horse Auctions LLC within three (3) days after the sale. It is the
responsibility of the purchaser to provide safe transportation and have proper facilities to maintain the
horse prior to the veterinary examination. If the horse has to be returned, it must be brought to The Eyler
Stables in acceptable condition. No new lumps, bumps, scrapes or bite marks. Transportation done for
or by the purchaser is at their own expense.
3. PAYMENT ON HORSES SOLD SOUND: The consignor's check will be held for three (3) days after the
sale. To insure prompt delivery of your check, be sure the sale company has your full name and proper
mailing address. In the event that a horse is returned, the consignor is responsible for paying the
commission on the selling price of that horse and any other sale fees that are incurred. The horse will
remain property of RSD Horse Auctions LLC until these fees are paid. The purchaser will be given a full
refund from the sale company on any returned horse.
4. COGGINS TEST: Blood samples will be drawn on all horses/ponies consigned to the sale, even if they
already have a current test. Blood samples are drawn the day of sale at the purchaser's expense. To
insure prompt delivery of the results, be sure that the sale company has your full name and proper mailing
5. POSITIVELY NO PRIVATE DEALING OF HORSES IS PERMITTED IN THE SALE BARN OR ON SALE
6. TACK, MERCHANDISE, TRAILERS, EQUIPMENT, HAY, ETC.: RSD Horse Auctions LLC does not guarantee
any of the above listed items. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to examine the items prior to
bidding. RSD Horse Auctions LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items. Any unclaimed
items will be sold at the following sale as property of RSD Horse Auctions LLC.
7. CAUTION: Everyone attending the sale agrees to save and hold harmless and indemnify RSD Horse
Auctions LLC, employees, and representatives thereof, from any and all responsibilities, liabilities,
obligations, claims or legal proceedings arising from any accident that may occur to consignors,
spectators, buyers, horses or equipment for loss by fire, theft, or for injury or death to any human or
animal in any way or manner.
8. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Any and all announcements made the day of the sale will always take precedence
over any printed material...
